John the baptist looked up and seeing Jesus, he declared, “Behold, the lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” This was the very purpose of Christ upon the Earth. For God so loved the world that He sent His son. Jesus was sent to be the propitiation of our sins. He took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved. By His wounds, we have been healed. For Jesus was the sacrificial lamb that cleanses us from our sins and restores us with our Father.
