Jesus conquered the grave and overcame death so that the life you have would be found in Him. God desires intimacy in our christian walk. Day after day it is on us to connect with Him through prayer and through the reading of His word. It can be easy to drift amidst this busy life, but bottom line is we reap what we sow. You can not expect to grow in your walk if you are not spending time getting to know the Father. It is a relationship and for a relationship to thrive, connection is vital.
